Birthday Wishes

SOMEBODY had a birthday last week.

And that SOMEBODY wanted cheesecake for dessert.

But not chocolate cheesecake, my first thought.
Not pumpkin cheesecake, my second.
Not even turtle cheesecake (drool), my third.
Not Bailey's, or Amaretto! Not lemon!

No, SOMEBODY had to have PLAIN cheesecake.
really? plain?

So I made a plain cheesecake. I tried to add to it every step of the way, but SOMEBODY was undeterred.

I added pizzazz to the rest of ours before eating.
The home made caramel sauce was perfect!

Happy Birthday, Tammy!

  1. I love cheesecakes! I make one for almost every holiday and family get together! I hardly ever make a plain one, but when I do, I always top it with sliced strawberries and a strawberry sauce!

  3. Cheesecake is a perfectly acceptable birthday cake - even if it is a pie. I haved a brother-in-law who once asked for an apple pie for his birthday "cake", now I think on it.

And I like my cheesecake plain, too - go Tammy.

  4. My husband prefers plain cheesecake as well. I contend that it's proof of madness, but it makes him happy!

  5. Oh. My. Goodness. I have to admit, classic plain cheesecake is probably my favorite too. Although I'd never turn down a chocolate or turtle one!!
